This industrial robot was purchased to automatically depalletize cases. It was MARGINALLY USED. The unit was originally programmed to depalletize cases of 12x12 carriers, place the carriers into a cartoner, break down the empty case, and stack the empty cases onto a return pallet. The tier sheet that covers each layer was also placed on the return pallet. The robot is designed to depalletize 12x12 carriers at  a rate up to 180 CPM. The OEM, ABB, describes this as a 6-Axis Material Handling Robot. The original purchase price for this system was $345K.
